72 hours transit visas are now available from Kunming Changshui International Airport, starting October 1. Citizens from 51 countries are eligible for the visa, the full list of which can be seen here.
To apply for the 72 hour transit visa you need a valid passport and an onward ticket to a third country; the destination must be to a different country to the one you departed from, so you can’t apply for it with a return ticket.
The visa restricts visitors to the administrative area of Kunming and the airport.
