32 year old Wu Shanliu has kept himself enrolled in high school for the past eight years just so he can retake the Gaokao- for fun. He has been accepted into several prestigious universities over the years but he has rejected all of the offers in order to take the Gaokao over and over again.
Web users have been speculating the possible reasons for the man’s exam mania; one netizen claims that Wu graduated from University and got a job but quit because he felt dissatisfied. Another suggested that Wu is doing it simply to collect money as some local governments award cash prizes to top scorers.
Whatever the reason, Wu was unavailable for comment, so his real motivations remain a mystery.

I think he went Gao Kao crazy and had so much pressure to do well that maybe he can not stop taking it until he gets a perfect score. I know how much pressure these kids go through for the Gao Kao and some of them crack... ending in suicides and entire families going into self-destruction mode. Or maybe he just is a greedy money grubbing bastard.
