2nd Japanese Daiso “10 Yuan Store” Opens in Guangzhou

A Japanese Daiso "10 Yuan Store", selling various inexpensive goods, officially opened on June 27 in Guangzhou’s Huachenghui. The store currently stocks 4000 different items and plans to increase that number by 500-600 every month, eventually reaching a total of 8000 different products. The items – which range anywhere from kitchen supplies and food to toys – are sold for 10 RMB. Daiso, which also has a branch in Zhonghua Square, plans to open 15 to 20 branches overall in Guangzhou by 2013.

Where: 33 Zhongshansan Lu (near Lieshi Cemetary), Yuexiu District, Guangzhou

Getting there: Take subway Line 1 to Lieshi Cemetary or take bus 183, b8, 36 (night) to Jiaochangxi Road.
