Dear Echinacities Members.

Welcome to Er Ling Ling Jiu! With Chinese New Year coming up it's time to move from the expat party scene to the local party scene. Fill yourself up with Baijiu and Jiaozi all month long and enjoy some of the great events around China.
If you want to take in some culture then you could climb (or jump off) the Red Cliff II or get involved entangled in Life, Death and Everything Else.
The South Rakkas Crew provides the soundtrack to the week's nightlife, and the Thumb Girl and Frog Prince entertains the kids. The Nanshan Open brings a proper international sporting event to Beijing for the first time since the Olympics, and we discuss our New Year's resolutions and potential lack of resolve in our Expat Corner section.
Read what the hottest internet phrases were for China's 210 million netizens in 2008.

It's nearly the Spring Festival…I hope spring actually comes soon.

Cheers!
