Located in Guangdong, Cantonese themes heavily influence the cuisine in Zhuhai. Fresh seafood also plays an important role in the food of the Zhuhai region, especially oysters, crab, lobster, and grouper all of which are abundant in Zhuhai. Due to the close proximity of Macau, Portuguese cuisine and influences are growing more popular in Zhuhai.
Zhuhai also features many 'food streets', the most famous of which are Tangren, Gongbei Yindu Hotel and the Chaozhou Pavilion, where hungry visitors can taste a wide variety of local snacks.
