The official holiday calendar for 2011 is out. With lots of short holidays and designated weekend work days to make up for “days off”, we advise you to print this out, leatn it by heart, stick it on your fridge or keep it in your wallet. You don’t want to fall out of favours with your boss just because you didn’t realise last Sunday was a working day! Below is a list of the State Council approved vacation days for  New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day vacation in 2011.  

1) New Year's Day:  Jan. 1- 3, 2011. 3 days

2) Spring Festival: Feb 2nd-8th, 7 days total. Jan 30th (Sunday), Feb 12th (Saturday) work

3) Qingming Festival: April 3rd-5th, 3 days. April 2nd (Saturday) work

4) Labor Day: April 30th to May 2nd, 3 days

5) Dragon Boat Festival: June 4th-6th, 3 days

6) Mid-Autumn Festival: September 10th-12th, 3 days

7) National Day: Oct. 1st-7th, 7 days. October 8th-9th (Saturday and Sunday) work
