On October 25th, the State General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine announced that in wake of the recently reported H5N1-related death in Indonesia, China is taking strict precautions against the avian influenza infection. The spokesman, Li Yuanping, said that the World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed that the death in Indonesia was a case of H5N1 avian influenza. Accordingly, the State General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine mandated that various agencies conduct medical exams of Indonesians in China, and issued a warning to those who plan to go to Indonesia.

My advice for the public is to eat more vegetables than meat and take some vitamin C tablet would be helpful.Avoid going to very crowded place if possible.I wish you all can prevent this terrible infectious disease.
I haven't heard ab this again so far after I got back from Shanghai 3 months ago. and I think it just happens in countryside where ppl live near the avian farm or something. Since I n the ppl I know got no problem living here, well, it shudnt hv to be a warning to just travel to Indonesia. Instead u will find a very interesting trip over here..
