8 Great Activities for Your Kids in Shenzhen

8 Great Activities for Your Kids in Shenzhen
By Sade Mckenzie , eChinacities.com

With a progressive economy, and a rising expat community, Shenzhen continues to offer a unique environment for both foreigners and locals to raise their families. In return, there has been significant cultural integration within the adolescent community, and the amount of clubs and activities for families to enjoy.

We dug up eight different ways that kids and families can get out of the house and into the Shenzhen community!

1) Girl Scouts:

As a way to bring young international girls together to experience sisterhood and leadership, Brian Ring and wife Huijin Ring created Girl Scouts Shenzhen in 2014, after moving to Shenzhen from Beijing. Girl Scouts Shenzhen houses girls from various countries, educational backgrounds, and religious preferences, allowing the organization to have a lasting cultural impact on their Girl Scout experience. Girl Scouts are divided into levels by age. Younger girls focus more on arts and crafts, cookie programs, and hiking and camping. Older girls explore career choices, science, technology, travel, culture, and community activism.
