Ladies’ Nights in Pudong

1) Music RoomView In Map
Pudong, although far for those of us who live in Puxi, has some of the best ladies’ nights in town. The first one on our list is on the 92nd floor of the Shanghai World Financial Center (SWFC), otherwise known as ‘the bottle opener’. Enjoy a girl’s night out at Park Hyatt’s 100 Century Avenue Music Room. The deals start at 20:30 and entrance is free for all the ladies. The biggest attraction to this specific ladies’ night event is the free flowing sparkling wine until 22:30. There are also live performances coupled with a spectacular view of the city in one of China’s tallest skyscrapers.

2) Big EView In Map
If a classy night out isn’t your style, or you’re looking for something more invigorating, then head on over to Dongchang Road station and play like a kid at Big E. This place looks like a club when you first go in, but you’ll be surprised to learn that Big E is much bigger than it looks. Located on floor B2, Big E has KTV rooms, a laser tag zone and a mini golf area. All these games are typically priced at 70 RMB each, but on Thursday nights from 19:00 until 02:00, ladies enjoy a 50% off discount on all games and drinks. And if you have a few guy friends that want to come along, they can enjoy 30% off everything.

Ladies’ Nights in Puxi

1) Barbarossa
Now, if you live in Puxi or you want to enjoy a night out with the girls in Puxi then head on over to the People’s Square area. Barbarossa can be found in People’s Park, located right next to the lake making for one of the better atmospheres you’ll find in Shanghai. Enjoy a cocktail or two, at this Moroccan-style restaurant and lounge on Wednesday nights. Make sure to go to the second floor and enjoy drinks from a selection of complimentary cocktails, between the hours of 21:00 and midnight. On Thursday nights there is also a special guest DJ to spice up the mood on the second floor. So relax, chat with the girls, drink your tasty cocktail and listen to some tunes at Barbarossa.

2) Bar Rouge
If you’re in the Bund area, make sure to check out Bar Rouge, its the place to be if you feel like dancing the night away. Ladies get free drinks from 21:30 to 23:30 on Thursday nights at Bar Rouge. There is no entrance fee for the ladies and once inside you can sip on your free drink and take in the view of the Shanghai skyline on Bar Rouge’s terrace. Also, Bar Rouge likes to change up its ladies’ nights by holding special events, so make sure to check out their website to get the latest news on upcoming promotions.

Ladies’ Nights with Him

1) Bistro Burger
Not all of us enjoy wild nights out on a workday. So, if you’re feeling like going out for dinner, then stop by Bistro Burger on Thursday nights. Bistro Burger rests in the heart of the French Concession. Ladies who order a delicious hamburger with chips or a salad (ranging from 60 to 80 RMB) will receive a free spiked milkshake. Bistro Burger offers a good selection of gourmet burgers made with 100% certified Australian beef patties. As for the milkshake, there is a wide variety to choose from.

2) UME International Cineplex
If you’re in the mood to see a film, head to the UME International Cineplex, in Xintiandi. The cinema shows both Chinese and English movies. Tickets are typically 100 RMB or more for 3D films, but on Wednesday nights all ladies get a free movie ticket. There’s a catch though, ladies MUST be accompanied by male friend - or a random, male stranger you met while queuing up at the box office - in order to receive a free movie ticket. And the male friend must purchase a movie ticket at full price. UME cinema has tons of great deals on other days so make sure to check out their website for the latest promotions.
