By Cynthia Lopez , eChinacities.com

Pudong isn’t like everywhere else in Shanghai. Some parts don’t even hint at the fact that you are even in China. The long time residents of this area even have their own dialect - not to be confused with Shanghainese. Shanghai is split into two parts by the Huangpu River, on side is Pudong and on the other, Puxi. Pudong is home to the financial district, the international airport and will be the future home of Disneyland. Whether you live in Pudong, have a long layover at the airport, or simply want to leave Puxi for the weekend, read this article and find out what to do in Pudong!

Shopping & Dinning

1) AP Plaza View In Map
If you love haggling then make sure to check out AP Plaza, aka the fake market. There are stalls after stalls of fake bags, shoes, watches, etc. These faux designer goods look identical to the real thing, but don’t be fooled, they’re not real! A lot of shopkeepers will try charging a rather high price for the goods they are selling. However, keep in mind that you can get some of this stuff for really cheap. As a rule of thumb, whatever price they give you, divide it by four. If you’re persistent you could end up paying even less than half of the original asking price. There are also a few local restaurants in this underground subway station/plaza, as well as a few non-local places, such as KFC and Latina.
