Changchun may not claim to be as bustling as other cities across the country, but life in any Chinese city can get pretty strenuous after a while. If it’s not all the standing up whilst squashed on a bus that’s doing your back in, it’s definitely those rock-hard beds that you find yourself sleeping on (or at least trying to) every night. Luckily, there are plenty of massage parlors in Changchun—over 400 of them in fact—so you’re only ever a stone’s throw away from sorting out all those nasty knots in your back. Of course the quality (and the type…) of the service varies from place to place, though here we’ve managed to pin down some pretty decent establishments for a great massage in Changchun.

Prices are reasonable with a standard massage costing 40 RMB. Massage types offered are comprehensive at this Changchun massage institution, with anything from a simple back massage to a good old food scrub offered. To enter the realm of ultimate relaxation there’s no better way than to sip a cup of tea whilst you’re being worked on; a pot of which will cost 40 RMB.
